Li Weng is currently Assistant Professor at Hangzhou Dianzi University (China). He received his PhD in electrical engineering from University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2012. He worked on encryption, authentication, and hash algorithms for multimedia data. He then worked at University of Geneva (Switzerland) and Inria (France) on large-scale CBIR systems with emphasis on privacy protection. He was a post-doctoral researcher at IGN - French Mapping Agency, where he studied exploiting cross-modal and semantic information for visual localization. His research interests include multimedia signal processing, computer vision, machine learning, and information security. He is also interested in multimedia heritage research in China.
