Introduction
Li Weng is currently an assistant professor at School of Information Technology, Zhejiang Financial College (China). He works on the project “AI for multimedia cultural heritage”. He was an assistant professor at Hangzhou Dianzi University (China) from 2018 to 2023, and mainly worked on the project “Multiple-feature based image retrieval techniques for large-scale visual localization”. He received his PhD in electrical engineering from University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2012. He worked on encryption, authentication, and hash algorithms for multimedia data. He then worked at University of Geneva (Switzerland) and Inria (France) on large-scale CBIR systems with emphasis on privacy protection. He was a post-doctoral researcher at IGN - French Mapping Agency, where he studied exploiting cross-modal and semantic information for visual localization. His research interests include multimedia signal processing, computer vision, machine learning, and information security. He is also interested in the initialization and advancing of multimedia heritage research in China and neighboring regions.
